ORVIS IMPREGNATED BATTENKILL BAMBOO FLY ROD

This is a 7’6” rod, 2-piece, 1-tip, SN 77062. It was made as a 1-tip Battenkill, and so marked (see photo 2). The 7’6” 3 7/8 ounce Battenkill is one of the most successful of all orvis bamboo fly rods. They are marked for a 6wt line, but usually fished with a 5wt, following the old “one size lower” rule for Orvis cane rods. Condition of this rod is excellent with hardware, cane, cork, wraps, and ferrule fit all fine.
